Through your own private entrance, you will find a cosy, warm, and well-equipped kitchen and lounge area - with everything you need to cook, eat,
and feel at home. Don’t forget to bring your favourite book, as there is also a log-burner in the lounge, and a flat screen TV for a little bit of relaxation.

Upstairs you will find a modern bathroom, with shower, towels, dressing gowns, slippers, soaps, and plenty of extras.
There are also two bedrooms – one with bunk beds , and a master bedroom with a kingsize bed, TV and lots more (see our photos).

For your added comfort, why not have a glass of bubbly outside in the hot tub – and enjoy the silence and tranquility of being in an area with almost no light pollution. You can also catch a great sunset from the views at the top of the field, or say hi to one of the neighbouring sheep.

We live nearby if you need us, or feel free to send us a message/give us a call if you need anything.

Guest access

Guests have their own private entrance, seating area for coffee in the morning, and exclusive use of the hot tub. You are welcome to make use of anything you find in the cottage and are free to explore our grounds at your leisure. We live in the neighbouring building and are often at home if you need us.

Other things to note

The property is set on a former farm which stands next door to our house.

There are lots of lovely walks from the door including the disused railway line that goes all the way to Kirkby Stephen (approximately 3 miles). Or you can set off up the fell to the Nine standards. Kirkby Stephen is a lovely little market town with shops, pubs, cafes and a 24hr petrol station.

We have our own track/country road to the cottage location, please take care when driving. Road is suitable for all cars if care is taken.

Our water is lovely which comes from a spring, down from the fell and filtered before it comes through to the cottage. Sometimes after heavy downpours the water can be discoloured which is still perfectly safe to drink. But Bottled water will be provided for you as well.

At night there is no light pollution so enjoy and admire all the thousands of stars in this peaceful area.

We also have 6 acres of land which you are free to roam in, the views at the top of the field next to the trees are amazing. If you love sunsets in the summer this is the place for you.

There will be 5 fire logs included in the booking. These burn for 2hrs. More are available to purchase on request.

We are only an hour away from the lakes Bowness on Windermere and Keswick if you wish to visit the lake district
